![]() These sorts of malevolent, hypercontextual beings aren't anything new to either horror or comic books, and more often than not feel completely at home within the confines of both. This idea is all the better served by the explicitly meta commentary on offer by "I Will Destroy You All," just as it is by the existence of Mary Shelley Lovecraft in the first place. And, as a whole, they are a testament to the power of horror to bring together creatures and characters from every corner of fiction without sacrificing any of what makes them who they are. As creations of different publishers throughout those eras, they are also one of the least likely super teams of all time. As creations of different eras in comic book history, each of the heroes on display in the latest Hack/Slash adventure are each representative of a different corner of the horror genre as a whole. ![]()
